My husband and I decided this week to take a babymoon. A vacation before the birth of your child to spend some quality time together and relax a bit. Bee spent the time with his grandparents and they all had a great time! Bee did very well and didn't freak out over missing us for FOUR DAYS at all! <<tear>> haha, anyway.
I wanted to share some of the pictures because Bodega Bay is absolutely beautiful and if you can ever make it there I would really recommend it. The area is great for a romantic or whole family getaway. Bodega Bay is in Northern California (wine country). The vineyards are numerous so if you like/can drink wine it's an added bonus. There is a ton of hiking available for hikers. The beaches are numerous. Kayaking, zip lining through the red woods, and whale watching are among some of the other things Northern California has to offer. We stayed at the Bodega Harbor Inn. They have rooms and houses available to rent for the day, week, or weekend.
Day 1, a large storm was traveling through the area. It was amazing to stand on the beach and watch the waves breaking against the land. We wanted to use our ponchos in the rain. Goat Rock Beach.

View from Bodega Head. This is a popular whale watching site because the whales travel right off the coast on their way to and from Alaska. We were not fortunate enough to spot any whales. : /

A 2.5 mile hike we took from Shell Beach to Blind Beach. The Kortum Trail I believe was the name. Beautiful walk, a little muddy due the previous day's storm, but nothing too crazy.
